OZ Publikum.sk wasn’t officially founded until 2009 even though our first cultural activities date back to 2004 when we first started publishing an internet based film magazine CinemaView.sk. In 2006 we organized our fist cultural events. At that time, majority of the events were tied to film but the range of our activities soon grew to include all cultural areas. Although we operate primarily in Trnava, we are increasingly extending our field of activity to a national scale.
To this date we’ve organized more than 120 cultural events. These events are among the most successful ones: NOCvKINE (a whole night dedicated to films), PechaKucha Night Trnava, student’s festival Frejm, and Improliga (improv game show), Ignite Bratislava and many others.
We are constantly trying to keep our work as forthright as possible. Anyone who wishes to support or aid the cultural development in Slovakia is welcome to become a member of OZ Publikum.sk. We don’t collect member fees and we don’t plan to, either. There are many ways to participate: from advertising, filming videos, preparing events to even creating new projects. Everyone in OZ Publikum.sk works as much as he or she likes or can in regard to their resources and other commitments. We believe that if everyone plays his little part right, together we are capable of great things.
